Red Hat, a provider of open-source enterprise products, has announced an API management solution that it claims will reduce the cost and complexity of developing API-based services and applications on its Platform. Red Hat OpenShift API Management Builds upon functionality that it acquired via the company’s 2016 purchase of 3Scale, an API management company.

While Red Hat’s 3Scale API Management product is still available and focused on providing on-premise or cloud-based API management solutions, this new offering is targeted at large-scale fully Red Hat managed deployments.

Users of the new product will have access to the company’s API analytics suite, Red Hat SSO (Single Sign-On), and fully supported integrations with OpenShift.

This API Management solution is currently in Beta and Red Hat has not announced a date for general availability.
